the ankh
Please give me a mirror the size of the cosmos so that I may see mySelf
as all that I Am through eyes of reverent recognition.
For as long as I can remember I have always felt drawn to and connected to the ankh, and for some time now I have been exploring what it symbolically means to me. The deeper I inner-dive into my own symbolic and metaphoric representations of the ankh, the deeper I surrender to its mystery.
To me it feels like a portal and looks like a ‘key’ to unlock mysteries, knowledge, technologies of ancient times, modern times, All Time.
the key of life
The ankh is mostly renowned as an ancient Egyptian symbol, a hieroglyph that means ‘life’. Hence it is often referred to as the ‘key of life’. Perhaps a key to some of the secrets of existence?
The ankh has two main parts – a loop and a cross. Holistically its design is a union of these two parts.
union of physical & non-physical
The ankh may symbolise the union of physical and non-physical, of mortal and eternal. A symbolic representation of the merging of mortal human life/man/woman (the cross) and eternal life (the loop with no beginning or end).
I liken the shape of the ankh to that of a hand-held mirror... a mirror to reflect and remind me that ultimately, here on Earth, I am a union of the physical and non-physical. I am all of the multidimensional facets of mySelf.
The ankh reminds me that my physical body is an anchor|ankhor,
ankhoring the non-physical aspects of mySelf here on this planet.
I am an ankhor.
I ankhor mySelf here on Earth.
Ultimately the ankh reminds me that any and all keys
to unlock any and all mysteries of life
are within mySelf, for me;
and within yourSelf, for you.
